Dr. Chandrahauns Chavan is a Senior Professor and Former Director at the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), University of Mumbai, with which he has been associated since 2005. He served as Director of JBIMS for two terms (2006?2009 and 2015?2018) and also held additional charge as ProfessorcumDirector at the Alkesh Dinesh Modi Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai. And eight years he was an Assistant Director at Institute of company secretary of India, Ministry of corporate Affairs, Government of India. With over three decades of experience in academia, Dr. Chavan has contributed significantly to the fields of management education in the core area of technology management, digital business, information systems, digital and business strategy. He holds a Doctorate in Business Management, an M.Phil. in Business Administration, and a Master?s in Computer Management. He is also a certified Corporate Director from the World Council of Corporate Governance (UK). His research credentials are impressive: he has published more than 165 papers in leading national and international journals, including those indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, ABDC, and UGC Care. He has also written 7 books, edited 6 others, and holds 3 registered design patents. Additionally, he has successfully supervised 13 Ph.D. and 5 M.Phil. Scholars. Dr. Chavan has held academic and governance roles in bodies such as AICTE, UGC, NBA, CII, CFBP, EFI, and various universities across India. He has also served on the Executive Board of AIMS and the EGovernance committee of the Government of Maharashtra. Recognized with over 30 awards, including the International Youth Fellowship (Germany) and the Academic Leadership Award (HEF), he continues to shape future leaders through teaching, research, and policy advocacy.
